Happy Hump Day BrickGals!  I dunno about you but I’ve had a crazy week, lots of ups and downs.  On the positive note, I’ve been so lucky to hear some awesome panel discussions at Social Media Week Miami at the Adrienne Arscht Center, and I recommend if you have time today, tomorrow or Friday to definitely come check it out.

What’s My Funny Onesies?? It offers hilarious onesies for the hilarious babies in your life! One day I started coming up with funny sayings to put on onesies from a baby’s perspective. I rattled off about twenty ideas that I thought were pretty funny, and decided to offer them for sale to help out my boat fund. I keep adding designs from time to time and also create some custom onesies. It’s still a work in progress and I’m planning to add more graphic designs and t-shirts for kids and adults.

It’s a rainy/foggy/plain yucky hump day today, and we can barely keep our eyes open at work.  Thank goodness someone recommended this week’s BrickGuy!  A major hottie and a hood hopper, we’re liking DJ S1. What you got with Brickell? I’m always bouncing back & forth between Miami & New York City and what I love about Brickell is that it has the energy and vibe that you can find in the East Village, Soho, & Meat Packing District and all of the restaurants in the area are amazing.

Favorite Place to Eat in Brickell? That’s a tough one, but I always love to go to Dolores, but you can call me Lolita, Novencento, Grimpa, and Perricone’s.

Favorite Place to Go Out with Friends in Brickell? Segafredo’s, Brickell Irish Pub, and Spazio Nero is always great.

Hump Day Treat: Rob Saracco

Well hola mi amigas!  Sorry about depriving you of a Hump Day Treat last week. Blasphemy!  I’ve been busy sampling some of the hottest new restaurants in the hood, as well as a staple that has reassured me of its greatness, and have some big news coming to you soon.

This week’s BrickGuy is ahead of the game.  His job allows him the privilege of hearing all the hood’s news first.  Lucky!  And, he has a stellar palate and appreciates a great view.  Snap him up quick ladies!

Favorite Place to Eat in Brickell? Is Zuma considered Brickell? If not, PM Steakhouse… can’t go wrong with either! Actually, the lobby restaurant at the Conrad has an awesome balcony with amazing views of the bay, Sobe, and Key Biscayne (check it out, you’ll be impressed).

Favorite Place to Go Out with Friends in Brickell? Publicly, its gotta be Fado, or as we like to refer to it, HQ… no matter where we go for the night we all end up there… secretly, I like to throw Red Bar or Cavas in there to mix it up.

Favorite Thing to Do in Brickell? Eat/drink outside in MB Village… or go running along the water… should I have thought of something more interesting? Ok ok… maybe base jump off the Four Seasons roof?

Best Place to meet BrickGals? Most people say at the bars, etc… but… ok, that’s probably the best place. I do wanna try that running club, that’s gotta be a good place, right?

What’s something a BrickGal should do to get a BrickGuys attention? Give him 30 seconds to stumble through what he was going to say to introduce himself… he might actually be a nice guy (hey at least you get a free drink out of it) :) Then there’s always smile a lot, be happy, laugh, and enjoy life! Guys always notice this stuff… we also notice the “eff off” stamped on a girl’s forehead, not a good look (although it may not stop some of my peers, lol).

Favorite Thing About the Hood? The potential. In our field, most of the major projects going on (Brickell Citi Centre, My Brickell, Brickell House… google them) are being developed by our clients… trust me, this place will look completely different in 5 years and its going to be even more amazing. Good Morning BrickGals!  It’s another bea-u-tiful day out (high of 79 degress to be exact)!  While we may not be able to travel to New York like the song suggests, who would even want to, after such fantastic weather down here the past few days?

We propose not heading from sunshine to snow flakes, but rather heading to the Downtown Food & Wine Festival going on today in Brickell at the newly launched Central Park Miami.

From 1  - 6 pm, the 1st Annual Dwntwn Food & Wine will bring together a selection of the best restaurants in Miami and a wide variety of world renowned wine and spirits distributed by Republic National Distributing Company.  The event will begin with a VIP Tasting at noon and will open for regular admission ticket holders at 1:00 p.m. for a three-hour tasting experience. Through the festival’s conclusion at 6 p.m., guests will be able to enjoy cooking demonstrations by Johnson and Wales University faculty members, live musical performances by Performance Arts Exchange and much more.  A percentage of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Jorge Posada Foundation.

Restaurants participating include The Oceanaire, Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita, Crazy About You, Chophouse, Baru, Jimmy’z Kitchen, Edge, Mare Nostrum, and Off the Hookah.  Domaine Carneros by Taittinger, Camposaldo, Bodegas Campillo, MontGras, Michel Redde, Louis Jadot, Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, Fireball Whiskey, St. Francis Winery & Vineyard, Santa Rita, Renwood, Benzinger, Santa Martina, NxNW and Acrobat are providing the beverages.

General admission tickets are $75 and VIP admission tickets are $150.  Central Park Miami is located at 1300 South Miami Avenue in Brickell.

Happpy Hump Day BrickGals! (**BrickGuys, get ready… BrickGals’ features start on Monday**)  Back to a full week after the holidays, and with weather around the hood that can’t decide whether to break out the sun or sprinkle rain upon us, we def need a good BrickGuy this week.  Luckily for you, Mama BrickGal doesn’t disappoint. There’s too many beautiful women out there that AREN’T attractive because they’re not confident. You wear confidence like clothing, well at least you should. Confidence will undermine a short dress or mini skirt any day.

Happpy Hump Day!  For those of you lucky enough to have off this week, I not only envy you but also hate your guts.  While it may be a bit chilly for the beach today, I’m sure you all have found something a lot better than work to do.

Hump Day Treat: Brian Lage

Happy Hump Day BrickGals!  I’ve been begging this week’s BrickGuy to be part of the site for awhile now and he has finally accepted.  Even though you want to, I mean, it’s not every day you meet someone that controls how many times you hear Britney or that has “stylz” in his email address.  Although I’m pretty sure he is completely and utterly sick of me coming in on the regs asking for Ms.Spears (whoop whoop congrats on the engagement!), he graciously gets the jams ready and at this point I don’t even need to ask.  Within ten minutes of walking in the joint, my ears are graced with her melodious music.  He’s a a super nice rockstar, who’s also not so bad on the eyes, so make sure the next time you head into Fado, you hit up my main man DJ Brian.  Tell him BrickGals sent you and maybe he’ll push your request to the top.  **PS it was Brian’s bday yesterday so def show him some love!
