Oh, Taste of Brickell, how I love thee, let me count the ways.
1) It’s D4C benefitting the Kristi House.
2) BrickGuys are bound to be present. There is The International Wine & Beer Crafters Tent sponsored by Dolores Lolita & Gordon Biersch which presents samplings of wines and beers. And we all know there are only two things BrickGuys like to hear: “It’s not your’s” and “Open Bar”. (Open Bar is in the VIP Area only.)
3) The only thing BrickGals love more than alcohol, specifically complimentary, is food. Over 50 Brickell restaurants will be present, including Perricone’s, Garcia’s, Edge, El Gran Inka, Altamare, Taverna Opa, Oceanaire Seafood Room, Mint Leaf, Piola, El Vato, Planet Sushi, Tabu, Fado, Le Boudoir, Mare Nostrum, Toscana Divino, Pier 94 and more.
4) It’s outside. It is a BEAU-tiful day out!
5) I had a fantastic time at the inaugral Taste of Brickell last year, and I’m overly anxious to get back in a few hours.
Taste of Brickell is being held at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive, just south of The Mark, from noon to 10 pm, today and tomorrow.
Aller Cusine!
My husband and I went to the Brickell food and wine event on Sunday and were hugely disappointed! The venue was horrific ( it was on an open field with SOME grass, there was mostly dirt which you can only imagine as it was an extremely windy day). The VIP tents were a joke!!! The food in the VIP tent did not make you want to go back and try anything a second time. The VIP wine and beer tasting tent, I don’t know what you call only being able to sample two beers ( not very much of a sampling if I may say so).Upon entering we were given 10 $1.00 tickets each to be able to purchase food outside of the tents. Some of the vendors on the outside should have been in the VIP area. It must have been embarrassing for them to be even put in the same category as most of the vendors there.
Like I said earlier, it was a very windy day. There were tables with umbrellas that flipped over a few times with people sitting (did no one bother to look at the weather to better prepare for the event?). I will never go back to this event. It is a shame because when you think of Brickell you think of a posh area with very promising venues and restaurants that have really great food as well as their chefs. Maybe the Brickell food and wine event committee should reconsider who they actually put in charge of heading this event because whoever it was did a really poor job in representing their committee as well as this lovely city.
Good post. I learn something new and challenging on websites I
stumbleupon everyday. It will always be useful to read articles from other writers and use
a little something from other web sites.
This paragraph is really a pleasant one it assists new internet visitors, who are wishing for blogging.
I’ve been surfing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me.
Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
If you are going for best contents like myself, only go to see this website every day
for the reason that it presents feature contents, thanks
